CROPSEY

A sign that I’ve been praying for.
A solemn augur, pure and true
to tell me what to do.

A true God that I can settle for
and spin my body in a long, slow arc,
like how my problems are.

And I’ve been waiting on everyone.
Yeah, I’ve been waiting on anyone to show up and throw me out of here.

Because I don’t belong.
Yeah, I’m not even sure I know those words,
a song that I can sing along.
Well, I’ll just wait and track the soot-tracks home
so I can be alone.

And I’ve been waiting on everyone.
Yeah, I’ve been waiting on anyone to show up and throw me out of here.

Unnatural World.... Have a nice life

so fucking good.

Man of iron

THE MAN OF IRON
Giles Corey was a wizard strong, a stubborn wretch was he;
And fit was he to hang on high upon the locust tree.

So, when before the Magistrates for trial he did come,
He would no true confession make, but was completely dumb.

"Giles Corey," said the Magistrate, "What hast thou here to plead
To those who now accuse thy sould of crime and horrid deed?"

Giles Corey he said not a word, no single word spoke he.
"Giles Corey," said the Magistrate, "We'll press it out of thee."

They got them then a heavy beam, then laid it on his breast;
They loaded it with heavy stones, and hard upon him pressed.

"More weight," now said this wretched man.  "More weight!" again he cried;
And he did no confession make, but wickedly he died.

--Anonymous (early 18th century)

I will not plead
If I deny, I am condemned already,
In courts where ghosts appear as witnesses
And swear men's lives away.  If I confess,
Then I confess a lie, to buy a life,
Which is not life, but only death in life.

Lick the palm of the burning handshake

I'm the only one that sticks around
When they call your name out of a crowd
And you say it don't hurt when I'm going alone
And you know it don't hurt but I keep it strong
So I don't try to go
I just won't and you know
The need to know it takes you over
Takes you over
The need to grow it take you under
Take you under
It bares the keeping of resistance
To the listen again and again
It takes you over again and again
It takes you over

I'm the only one that makes you stop
And I know the plate is going down
When you say you don't see the red in my eyes
Do you really want to bring the fire outside?
I don't want you to go
Lose my eyes I'll never show
The need to know it takes you over
Takes you over
The need to grow it take you under
Take you under
It bares the keeping of no resistance
To the listen again and again
It takes you over again and again
It takes you over
Even though I handled loss like David Gahan, it could have been worse... I could have dealt with things like Ian Curtis....
"
Prefrontal lobotomy ... has recently been having a certain vogue, probably not unconnected with the fact that it makes the custodial care of many patients easier. Let me remark in passing that killing them makes their custodial care still easier."

And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.» (Genesis 6/1-7)

Prayer of transformation

Lay your corpse upon a nest of oak leaves
Wrapped in a star shroud repent your flesh
A shadow child dissolves

Meditate in a den of skins and straight poles
A sacred fire of madrone burns eternally
In a circle of turquoise and serpentine
Whisper the prayer of transformation

Engulfed by clouds of thujone
Emerge purified clad in a golden fleece
A vessel awaits built from owl feathers and moss

DAZZLE

The stars that shine
And the stars that shriek
In the face of stagnation the water runs
Before your eyes

Dazzle
It's a glittering prize

 Swallowing diamonds
A cutting throat
Your teeth when your breath
Reflecting beams on tombstones

A jamboree of surprises
Playing Russian roulette
Or the lucky clip
A clenched fist to your heart
Coal dust on your lungs

A silver tongue for the chosen one
Heavy magnum in your side or a bloody
Thorn
Skating bullets on angel dust
In the dead sea of fluid mercury
Baby piano crews
Under your heave index and thumb
Pull some strings-let them sing

half of what

The shape of your head is a twist of the truth,
The skulls on these walls, are they connected to you?
The stars are like eyes climbing out of a mist,
The temperatures rise like an easter morning sun,
Its not something you learn its just something you do,
And sometimes I wonder whether my other half is you.

Cause I am only half, of what I am,
And half of that is what, the lies can do,
Where the rest is, I don't know,
And I'm not sure if I wanna know.

Back on my own, it took me this long,
To scale to the top of this (grassy/misty) mountain side you're on,
But now I can see where its all been leading to,
The skulls on these walls, how they're connected to you,
Walking with you down a slippery slope, and you said,
"If I was the sun, you'd be the world I'd shine onto."

Au pays Natal: to the homeland

  • Descending,
    An orbit gone wrong,

    Europa rely,
    Europa will rely,

    The monolith is calling me.
    The monolith is calling me.

    Living on the ideal of,
    borrowed time.

    Living on your own,
    the darkness of the light,
    the silence in between,
    I remember your eyes,
    and softness of the skin,

    Living on your own,
    borrowed time.

    The monolith is calling me,
the names of all the ones I loved,
    no time in space,
no day or night to know,
how long I’ve been away from your home,
how long – I’ve drifted away - I’ve drifted away

    An orbit gone wrong,
    The shell of a man,
    has lost his form again,
    The shell of man.
    Forgotten form,
    an orbit gone wrong
    Descending,
    an orbit gone wrong.

    Borrowed time,
    can't show me.
    Monolith is calling,
    descending, the names of
    my own memories.

This shell of a man has forgotten,
    his human form at last,
    shell of a man forgotten,
    his human form again

Look to the sky for Mary.
    Bleed up to the light.
    Shell of a man forgotten,
    his human form at last,
    shell of man,
    forgotten human form.

    Your dream died today.

    Turn it around,
    crumbling odds,
    your failed me,
    turn it around,
    crumbling down,
    you failed me.

Shell of a man forgotten, bleed up to the light
Shell of a man forgotten his human form again.
Shell of a man Europa - lift me up.
Shell of man, turning over, your dream died today.
Shell of man has forgotten human form - you failed me
Shell of man, forgotten human form
Shell of man, your dream died today
    Shell of man forgotten
Shell of man. Living on borrowed time.
